Visiting “One Tree Hill” landmarks

One Tree Hill is not just any typical show about high school drama. It’s a show where everyone who watches it can relate to one of the many characters, including Nathan, Haley, Lucas, Peyton, Brooke, Julian, Quinn, and Clay. They all become like family to anyone who watches the show. Once the show ends, it’s heart-breaking because it’s feels as if viewers are never going to see their family again (ridiculous, I know).

Luckily, for super fans of the show, OTH was filmed in actual houses that people can visit. Another benefit for “Danvillians” is that the show was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina, which is only about three hours away. To make it easier to find these famous One Tree Hill landmarks, we have listed the addresses here.

Brooke Davis’ house: Located at 2314 Tattersalls Drive (Anna and Felix’s house is right beside hers). Being at the exact place where the B. Davis stood, everyone always imagined being the girl behind the red door. The famous house and red doors will give you chills when you see it. The house looks just as amazing as it does on TV.

Peyton Sawyer’s house: Located at 1901 Chestnut Street. This is the house where “the door” is located inside on which Brooke and Peyton both had their names listed and every guy they had dated under their names so the girls wouldn’t date their friends’ old boyfriends.

Lucas Scott’s house: Located at 1829 Wrightsville Ave. This is the spot where Karen and Lucas had their mother and son heart-to-heart moments on the front porch. What’s better than a Scott boy who loves bonding time with his mom? Nothing. So many significant things happened in that bright yellow house and on those front porch steps.

Haley James’s house: Located at 1811 Chestnut Street. Ahh this house brings on such a fan girl moment. This house was where the very first Naley (Nathan and Haley) kiss of the series takes place while Switchfoot’s “Dare You To Move” played in the background.

Nathan Scott’s house: Located at 1621 Country Club Road. Be sure to bring a basketball so you can shoot some hoops in Nathan Scott’s basketball goal (which is still in the same spot where he left it).

Nathan and Haley’s apartment: Located at 4395 Birchwood Park Drive, Apt Number 4355.

Quinn and Clay’s house: Located at 650 New River Inlet Road, North Topsail, NC.

The ‘Naley’ Bench: Along the river walk, this is where the famous line “Don’t say I never gave you anything” came out of Nathan Scott’s mouth.

The River court: Located now at USS North Carolina Battleship, 1 Battleship Rd NE, Wilmington, NC. This is where the Scott brothers played basketball against each other for Peyton, which was at the time was Nathan’s girlfriend.

The Bridge: Located at North 6th Street. This is where Lucas runs while dribbling his basketball in the beginning of every episode while Gavin DeGraw’s song “ I Don’t Want to Be”  plays.

Tree Hill High School: Located at 411 North Front Street, it’s actually Cape Fear Community College. You’re at the place where Lucas was Peyton’s knight in shining armor. After being shot during a school shooting, she feared losing her life. Therefore, she told Lucas that she loved him and they kissed. He then risked his life by carrying her out of the school to safety. That’s a real fairytale.

Keith Scott’s Body Shop: Located at 19 Covil Avenue. This is where Lucas works and where he fixed Peyton’s car. Everyone loves to see a Scott boy fixing a car.

TRIC: Located at 1121 South Front Street. Karen worked here and this is where they reenacted Nathan and Hayley falling in love.

Nathan and Haley’s wedding spot: This is Fort Fisher State Recreation Area. This was the moment when “Always and Forever” were the best three words anyone had ever heard. Plus, can you say relationship goals? This was also the moment every girl’s heart was broken because the Nathan Scott was officially taken off the market, but it was the sweetest moment in OTH history.

Gift Shops: Krazy Mike’z is at 1 North Front Street. The Black Cat Shoppe is at 8 Market Street. Poodle’s Island Wear is at 18 South Water Street, Suite 3. Every fan of One Tree Hill has to have some kind of merchandise. Whether it’s a Scott jersey or “Clothes over Bros” crewneck, you have to get something.

Karen’s Café: This location is a bit harder to find because it’s now a bike shop. The café is located right near the courthouse on the main road.

The Courthouse: While sitting on the courthouse steps, you are able to see where the burning boat ceremony took place and look across the river to see where the famous river court used to be. To get here, just head straight down the road from Karen’s Cafe toward the river and take a right.

Next time you are in Wilmington, be sure to visit these places. Like Karen said, “There’s only one Tree Hill and it’s your home.”
