Mrs. Hutson leaves Tunstall for the Career and Technical Center

After teaching business marketing for 7 years, Mrs. Hutson has decided to return to her initial goal in a career and be employed as a Culinary Arts teacher at the Career and Technical Center. Hustson has held a teaching career for 11 years, but taught Home EC for only 3 of them, despite her Family and Consumer Science Degree.

Hutson decided to begin teaching in the field of marketing because a position as a business teacher opened at Tunstall. Hutson graduated with a minor in marketing. Hutson is excited to transition from marketing to Culinary Arts. “There was an opening at the Vocational School and it is something different that I am interested in,” said Hutson. She looks forward to the small class sizes wih students who have chosen to enroll in the class.

Though Hutson is excited for something new, she admits she will miss her students and coworkers regardless. The same graditude goes towards Mrs. Hutson from students as well as coworkers. “I am goes to miss the class environment that Mrs. Hutson’s teaching method brings,” said freshman Savanna Carter.

Mrs. Hutson has contributed greatly to the students of Tunstall. “Mrs. Hutsopn is very consciencious, puts students first, and has a good rapport with students,” added Mr. Dillow. Mrs. Hutson was very influential to Tunstall’s DECA club. Her presence within the organization will be greatly missed. “I feel bad for upcoming students because she is a great teacher and person,” said Vice President of DECA, Dustin Kuzinski.
