Mrs. Elizabeth Kirby

One of the new faces in the Science department is Mrs. Kirby, she is teaching Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, and Biology this school year.

“Chemistry was my first love and I’m looking forward to getting back to it.”

Although she has always lived in the Tunstall community, she has spent her 15 years of teaching at Dan River High School. She graduated from Dan River High and then received her masters in Biology from Averett, she later furthered her education and obtained her Masters in Education from Liberty. In her free time Kirby and her family go to sports events, concerts, and travel.

“My goal with my students are to help them develop a love for science and show them that they will need it at times. Also, to help them appreciate and understand chemistry.”
