‘Tis the time for the lists

%E2%80%98Tis+the+time+for+the+lists

There are so many people that are excited for the Christmas season to begin, so they can not help but start thinking about their grand list of gifts for this year. There are clothes, toys, new games, and for many of our new drivers, cars and vehicle decorations on many of these lists. Many kids excitedly await this time of year because they can finally get their hands on the items they have been waiting for.

Sophomore Caroline Clay poses with her Christmas list. (Makenzie Miller)

Sophomore Caroline Clay is a Christmas lover and hasn’t been able to get it off her mind since summer. She has a lengthy list going for this Christmas and she is waiting anxiously for the day she gets to see what actually makes it under the tree. “My number one thing on my list is a new phone,” Clay said. She loves to have matching bedroom and bathroom decor, so she is hoping to see a makeup holder, a rotating skin care organizer, and a shower curtain all in an elegant shade of dark green. Something she would ask for but never get is a new car because she already has one, but she would always love to upgrade.

Junior Xavier Christian loves the feeling of waking up on Christmas morning to open presents. He has been working on his list for a couple of weeks now and is overcome with happiness that he can finally start preparing for his favorite morning of the year. Christian wishes to receive shoes, clothes, and maybe even a new car. He would love to get a Hellcat Dodge, but he would also be just as happy with a Honda. While his responses to what gifts he wants were pretty average, he has a rather peculiar gift in mind as his gift from Santa. “I want a lil’ elf as my Santa present,” Christian said.

Sophomore Carleigh Setliff is a Christmas fanatic and loves to go all out for “Santa season.” She is hoping to get a curling wand, dry shampoo, and an exfoliator body brush as a few smaller must-have gifts this year. “The thing I want the most this year is a weighted unicorn,” Setliff said. She wants this unicorn to sleep with at night because it is supposed to reduce stress and anxiety. Setliff would love to receive a MacBook for Christmas, but she feels as if that may be slightly unrealistic. One thing she will be disappointed not to see under the tree this year would be a Zach Bryan flag for her room because of her love for “Zachy B.”

Junior Denver Dalton has Christmas spirit. (mak)

Junior Denver Dalton has been assembling this year’s Christmas list for a while now and is excited to see what makes it under his tree this year. He loves skincare that is easy to pack up and transfer since he is always on the move, but one skin care product that he especially likes are face masks. “The number one thing on my list is money for  New York,” Dalton said. He is making a trip to New York next year and would like money so that he can purchase some touristy merchandise. Dalton often asks for money because he likes to pick out his own clothing and shoes opposed to his parents picking them out because he likes to make his own fashion decisions.

Our Christmas spirited people here at THS are getting pumped for the cold and jolly season. The lists are extensive and the hopes are high for what will be under their trees on the long awaited Christmas morning. There are shoes, various makeup products, clothes, and tons of other fun, interesting gifts that the students are waiting to open this December.
