Finally, for the boys, Nick Vest came in fifth for shot put.

For girls: The events were 100 hurdles, discus throwing, one mile, 400 meter dash, two mile, 800 meter, and 4×800 relay.

The highest the girls placed was first in the 800 meter. Emily Wallace led with Brianna Farrar in fourth and Lia Haskins in sixth.

Tunstall came in second for the one mile, two mile, and the 4×800 relay. For the one mile, Emily Wallace was second, Hannah Hale was fourth, and Lia Haskins was sixth. The two mile was placed with Kelsie Smith and Allison Dickens.

In the 100 hurdles, Tomarri Lee came in third.

For discus throwing, Teaira DeJarnette was fifth. Brandi Beckelheimer was fifth, as well, for the 400 meter dash.

This was the only home meet of the season. For seniors like Brianna Farrar, it was the last time competing on Trojan ground.

“It feels bittersweet to know that will be the last time I’ll ever run a meet at Tunstall, but at the same time it’s a good feeling,” said Farrar.

The next meet will be on Monday, April 18 at Chatham High School.

“My expectations for the next meet is for us to all continue to improve our times,” she said, “Even though we lost in the 4×8 relay, we still improved our time so I hope we continue to improve it. I want to improve on my 800 time, as well. We run [on Monday], so hopefully we will get some good results.”
