Mr. Tripp Emerson

Mr. Emerson is the new chemistry teacher for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. He has been teaching for 14 years and earned his degree while attending Averett University. His decision to come to Tunstall was based on the location being closer to his home. Mr. Emerson says that his favorite part of working at THS is the great department he gets to work with.

During his freetime, he enjoys being outside with his family. Mr. Emerson’s wife is also a teacher and they have two young children.

Aside from being the new chemistry teacher, he is also the new cross country coach. Mr. Emerson has had 14 years of coaching experience and was interested in getting a chance to work with new students. His hopes for this season are for both teams to advance to regionals.

Mr. Emerson says that his goals for his time at Tunstall are, “to promote the subject of chemistry and make my students better.”
