Senior Alyssa Harville put her face painting skills to the test at Fright Night.

Ghosts and goblins, witches and zombies, and princesses and pirates were the sights on Friday night as families walked down the halls of Stony Mill Elementary.

On Oct. 28, Stony Mill hosted Fright Night, a night when children and parents could come out to play games, trick or treat, and have fun together. The students were allowed to wear their Halloween costumes, which they were proud to show off.

The event began at 5:30PM, but the line was formed around the building even earlier. Inside, the ceilings were lined with spider webs and orange lights to add a spooky effect. Two teachers dressed in Pikachu and a minion costume to greet the students at their arrival.

THS Interact members at this event volunteered by face painting and leading games that were set up in the classrooms. The games ranged from tossing plastic eyeballs into pumpkins’ mouths to grabbing rubber spiders with plastic fishing rods. Prizes such as pencils and candy were given out to those who participated.

Along with the games, there were also bouncy houses set up in the gymnasium and a hallway where students could trick or treat from door to door.

In the cafeteria, tickets were available to be purchased for pizza, drinks, snacks, and a raffle drawing.

After two-and-a-half hours, Fright Night came to a close while attendees left with smiles on their faces and treats in their bags.
