The height of snow reached 10 inches in Danville. (top) Just two and a half weeks later, the sun is shining and formerly frozen water flows freely. (bottom)

Don’t pull out your summer clothes and flip flops just yet, the cold weather and icy snow doesn’t seem to be finished with Danville yet. The temperature on March 2, 2014 was, according to Weather.com, on average 71°. However, with a call at 8 PM from Superintendent Mr. McDaniel, sleet and icy rain are expected on March 3, 2014. Will the hazardous road-way causing weather ever end in the premature year of 2014?

One may think it is absurd for temperatures in the month of March to drop as low as 11°. Derived from Weather.com, the exact temperatures for March 3rd are a high of 42°, with a 100% chance of precipitation, and a low of 11° closer to dusk. The Danville area can expect “bipolar weather” to continue in the month of March.

With the weather ultimately controlling schedules, Danville is kept on edge and must expect the worst, at least weather-wise. Tank-tops and flip-flops may have been acceptable on March 2; however, as soon as March 3rd, snow boots and coats are just as likely to be worn.
