THS has the exciting privilege of hosting foreign exchange students to experience life stateside. This year, Sophomore Louis Blanchard has become a Trojan– and he has a lot of things to say about his experience. 

Blanchard has noticed some big differences between school in the US and school in France. “[My school in France] goes from 7:55 am to 5:00 pm,” Blanchard explained. He enjoys the fact that our schools end two hours earlier than his own. 

Another thing that he enjoys about the states is that we allow teens to drive at 16 instead of 18, because they have to wait until then in France. “My least favorite thing about America is all the processed foods here,” Blanchard remarks. 

Despite his wonderful time at THS, there are some things he misses from his home. “I miss my family, and my sister the most,” he explained. Blanchard misses escargot because he said it would never compare to the food here.

Though he “misses his bed”, Blanchard has enjoyed his time at THS so much. “I love the small atmosphere,” he remarked. He has even picked up some of our lingo, saying “y’all” when he speaks English. 

The Trojans have been blessed with the presence of Louis Blanchard, and we will be very sad to see him go.
