Lady Trojans defeat Wildcats in three set shutout

Cailyn Turner jump served on one of Tunstall’s possessions last night vs. Dan River

The Lady Trojans improved their 3-1 record against the Dan River Wildcats in a 3 set shutout last night.

The first set the Trojans stayed ahead with the help of Grey Capozzoli who had an ace at game point with the final score  of 25-19. Grey said, ” We played well together to crushed the cats.”

At the second set the they continued to keep ahead. During game point Dan River ended the game for the Trojans by serving the ball out ending the set 25-15.

By the end of 3rd set, Tessa Kasemeyer had 4 kills and Cathryn Estes had 9 kills.  Grey Capozzoli scored 15 points and Zoey White finished with 16 points. Head Coach Beard says, “This was the best that we have done so far this year.” He was really proud of performances from Capozolli and Estes.

The Lady Trojans next match will be at home against Chatham on Sept. 6.
