Tunstall’s Lady Trojans defeated Magna Vista in a 1-0 victory over the weekend. Captain Liz Pineda scored Tunstall’s only goal. While goalie Anna Flinchum had 11 saves and her sister Abby playing sweeper had 6 clears. Captain Kayla Hill had 3 clears while sophomores Leah Dowdy and Lexi Toufas each had 1.

In the goalie position, Flinchum had an outstanding performance Friday and played big when the game was on the line. She prepares by doing a warm up and staying focused. Hill and Toufas both agree that a major factor to winning is the closeness of the team.

“I feel like as a team we played a really good game,” states Pineda. Both seniors, Hill and Pineda plan on playing in college following their final Tunstall season.

The Trojans host George Washington Friday at 5:30.
