A year in review: distributing the 2017-18 yearbook

As the school year comes to a close, the yearbook class will open their doors to handout yearbooks, the product of ten months of hard work and dedication. The yearbooks were distributed on Monday, May 7, and will also be handed out Tuesday, May 8, during all three lunches.

The front of the yearbook includes the phrase “Domin’18.” The cover is black, gray, and red. The purpose of this year’s theme was to celebrate the year of 2018 and how the students and staff “dominated” it.

Although the yearbook staff had several favorite parts about designing this year’s yearbook, the overall favorite was being able to interview students and getting to know them.  They also liked being able to design an intricate yearbook that featured what life at Tunstall is really like.

The 2018 yearbook highlights different clubs, sports teams, classes, departments, and other cool parts of THS. This year’s yearbook also features senior quotes.

“I really like the theme this year. I was hesitant to buy one at first because of the price, but it was definitely worth it,” said junior Karman Dowdy.

“It was a great way to look back on all the memories I’ve made this year,” said junior Coby Dellis.

The sales for the 2018 yearbook have been described as “slightly higher than previous years” according to yearbook sponsor Mrs. Kristin Williams. A total of about 488 yearbooks were purchased. While there is a limited supply of leftover yearbooks, students, along with faculty and staff, are strongly encouraged to purchase one for $60.

Whether you are buying a yearbook to remember all the great memories you’ve made, to read the mushy things one’s parents have written on senior advertisements, or to give your future children something to laugh about when they see your hairstyle, the 2017-18 Tunstall yearbook truly captures everything Trojans have done this year.
